A collection of fishing priests - Dave Watson
Second edition. Fully illustrated colour catalogue of a collection made over almost twenty years, of seventy-two fine antique priests with the best photography and printing techniques available.

Examples show the use of boxwood, laburnham, fruitwood, rosewood, bone, whalebone, elephant & walrus ivory and narwahl ivory, to create the elegant, the functional and the downright extravagant.
The earliest - dated 1718 the rest from the 18th and 19th centuries and the most modern: laminated woods, 20th century.

The objective of this project was to illustrate the photography and printing possible to catalogue any antique collection by recording and illustrating this small facet of antique fishing tackle collecting. Size: 290 x 210mm, comprising 52 pages.

WW1 period salmon photograph showing two gentlemen holding fish of 33 lbs and 43 lbs.
The photograph is marked "Salmon 33lbs & 43lbs caught at Ringwood May 1916 by one rod from the Canon Hotel.
Size 340 x 265mm (13.4 x 10.4 inches) in frame 545 x 470mm (21.5 x 18.5 inches).
